Future Champion Candidates Are Raised in Child Homes


Within the scope of the protocol signed between the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Athletic Talent Screening has been carried out for children under protection and care. 2.769 children determined as a result of the screening have been directed to the branches in which they are talented.

With the Turkey Athletic Talent Screening and Orientation to Sports Project carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, talented children in sports are determined and trained in the branches they are talented in.

Within the scope of the project implemented in order to develop the culture of doing sports for children aged 7-12, who are under the protection and care of the Child Homes of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, to spread sports to large masses, to introduce children to sports and to determine talented children who are at the age of starting sports, screening has been carried out in 81 provinces.

As a result of the tests and measurements carried out in the facilities affiliated to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, a "Sports Scorecard" has been prepared for each child by determining which sport the children are prone to in 38 Olympic branches. 2.769 children who are found to be talented in sports as a result of the screening have been directed to the branches in which they are successful.

They won medals in national and international competitions

The Ministry of Family and Social Services gives priority to directing children under state protection to sports and cultural activities.

14 of the children raised in Child Homes of the Ministry play in national teams. National athletes raised under the protection of the state make us proud with the medals they have won in national and international competitions.

2.394 out of 13.341 children in Child Homes are doing licensed sports, and 2.293 are interested in sports as unlicensed.
