Dr. Musa Şahin has been appointed as the Director General of Child Services. Şahin has taken over the task from Zeliha Sağlam.

Speaking at the handover ceremony held with the participation of the executives in the meeting room of Directorate General of Child Services, Şahin has stated that he started working within the Ministry two weeks ago and said, “It is a new field for me and a new excitement. I have been appointed to this task at the discretion of our Minister. First of all, I would like to thank our Director General for her efforts, support and services so far.”

Sağlam, who has handed over the task, has stated in her speech that they had a good working pace during her term as the Directorate General of Child Services and thanked her colleagues.

In the handover ceremony, which has taken place with the participation of a small number of personnel representing the units within the framework of the measures taken due to the coronavirus, Dr. Musa Şahin has thanked Zeliha Sağlam for her activities so far. After the ceremony, both directors general have given each other flowers and wished success.

Who is Dr. Musa ŞAHİN? 

Acting Director General of Child Services

Dr. Musa ŞAHİN, born in 1981 in Keşap, Giresun, completed his primary and secondary education in Giresun. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine (Eng.) of İnönü University in 2010.  

He started to work as a Physician at Tunceli State Hospital in 2010. He worked as Emergency Service Responsible Physician for 2 years in the same hospital. In 2012, he served as the Deputy Director of Public Health in Tunceli.

He graduated from the Department of Health Institutions Management of Anadolu University in 2015.

He served as Director of Public Health in Tunceli between 2013 and 2016. He was appointed as Provincial Director of Health and Public Health in Karaman as of 9 December 2016. He worked as Provincial Director of Health, Director of Public Health, President of Health Services, and President of Public Health Services in Karaman between 2016 and 2021.

In 2019, he completed his master's degree in the Department of Public Administration of the Institute of Social Sciences in Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University.

On September 20, 2021, he was appointed to the Department of Quality and Service Planning under the Directorate General of Child Services at the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

On October 4, 2021, he was appointed as the Acting Director General of Child Services at the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

Dr. Musa ŞAHİN is married with two children and has an intermediate level of English.
