The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services sent a letter to the Ministry of Trade to stop the advertisements after it was identified that the children's underclothes were displayed on the child’s body on some online shopping web sites.

In the letter, it was stated that on some online shopping web sites, the images of children's underclothes were displayed over the child's body, even if the child's face is not visible, the display of the child's body is considered child abuse.

Decision to ban advertisements and penalty

Following the Ministry’s application, the Ministry of Trade Advertisement Board stopped the said advertisements. The notifications regarding the penalties were sent to the relevant persons and companies.
