Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş came together with girls under government protection at Eid al-Adha breakfast, visited the nursing home and celebrated Eid al-Adha with older persons

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Minister Göktaş first visited the Saray Children's Home Complex and met with the girls under the care of the government for Eid al-Adha breakfast.

Göktaş had breakfast with children one by one, chatted with them and answered their questions.

Minister Göktaş said, "During the holidays, all persons take a seat at the table together. We also want to share the table with you. We are happy to be together with you.”

Following the breakfast, the children presented Minister Göktaş with a handcrafted bag embroidered with wirework. Göktaş also presented various gifts to the children.

Children received a promise from Minister Göktaş to participate in the outdoor cinema event organized.

Göktaş visited Ümitköy Nursing Home Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center and greeted the older persons and celebrated their Eid al-Adha. Göktaş, chatting with older persons, received information about the Bocce teams participating in tournaments between nursing homes and expressed that she would like to see the bocce teams in the Huzur Bocce League to be organized in Antalya.

Expressing their satisfaction with the visit, older persons thanked Minister Göktaş for the hospitality shown to them.

Göktaş stated that the Ministry visited older persons in nursing homes at every opportunity and said, "I hope you all have a good holiday. I am glad to be together with you. You are our guests. Please reach out to us if you are in any need. May Allah grant you a long and happy life and I wish you enyoj your Eid al-Adha."

During the visit, 88-year-old Sultan Demirtaş, one of the residents of the nursing home, presented her poetry book titled "Voices from the Heart" to Minister Göktaş. Minister Göktaş asked Demirtaş to sign the book in her name.

Minister Göktaş also visited the workshop in the nursing home and examined the paintings of Taner Avcı, one of the residents of the nursing home.

She paid a visit to the family of the Martyr

Minister Göktaş also visited the family of martyred Gendarmerie Master Sergeant Seçkin Çil, living in Etimesgut.

Minister Göktaş, paying close attention to the martyr's wife, mother and children, also wished the martyr's family a blessed Eid al-Adha. Minister Göktaş presented the Holy Quran to the martyr's mother, a Turkish flag to his wife and various gifts to his children.
